The Promise of Commons initiative follows a non-linear, multidimensional approach that is focused on scaling networks and catalysing connections at different levels. This will enable diverse actors, including communities, think tanks, practitioner organisations, academicians, policy makers, bureaucrats, media and corporate leaders to work synergistically and support the 350 million poor who depend on India’s Commons. This will also benefit the larger ecological, social, economic and institutional systems.
